The secret’s finally out…
After months of being sworn to secrecy we’re really happy to now share the news that More? is coming to a primetime TV screen near you.
We’re very proud to be part of a Channel 4 documentary, A Lake District Farmshop, which starts on Saturday, 10 July at 8pm.
We’ve been treated to a sneak preview and we can tell you that the Lake District has never looked more beautiful than in this programme. Rolling fells, autumn colours, stunning mountains, gorgeous Herdwicks… you get the picture.
The documentary focuses on the much-loved Tebay Services and some of their long-standing suppliers. More? has been baking sourdough loaves and other speciality slow-fermented breads for the service station for 14 years.
We’re over the moon with our appearance in episode one. The founder of More? and head baker, Patrick, gets to share his philosophy of baking and show off some of our fantastic bread and rolls – you can almost smell the delicious sourdough flavour through the screen.
You’ll see him during a dawn shift at the bakery, kneading dough and explaining why a 20-year-old sourdough starter makes the best loaves.
You can also catch him on his bike tackling an icy Kirkstone Pass and talking about the influence of the landscape on our baking.
As Patrick puts it: “We’re sending a love letter from the Lakes when we send every loaf.”
